First of all, it’s ALL about comparing a laptop with the iPad. It’s the same price. Almost all people will have to make a choice what to buy. The laptop wins in most fields.

I disagree, totally. Maybe if you want to read the news and emails. But if you want a complete and fast internet browsing experience, you’re gonna need hardware. And a real keyboard instead of a unhandy touch-keyboard is a huge plus in my opinion.

A company is charging a price for one of its products, and you think the price is unreasonable (you’re “on to” them) … so don’t buy one. The last time I checked, this is America… you know, free enterprise, capitalism, freedom of choice in the marketplace and all that good stuff. I don’t know what’s so hard to understand about THAT.

Better web browsing. Better mutimedia (except, of course, for non-Flash). Better for reading books.
Overall, they took the cool things about the touch and made them a little bigger, and, therefore, a little better and more easier to use. Or would you argue that Internet browsing and/or book-reading is easier/better on a touch? Or that you’d rather take a video with this device than your phone?
I’d like to see that argument.
